I want to welcome you to the Web site for my book – I’m a Fan: How I married U2 into my life without going to the altar.
In September of 2005, I crashed a lunch gathering where my cousin and U2 partner in crime was holding court. We began to speak in U2-speak when we were interrupted by one of his fellow associates who said, “Do you two know you two have the makings of a film with all of your U2 shenanigans?” We both looked at him and laughed.
A year-to-the-day later, while coping with my mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, I began to write in a cathartic manner. What came of those writings is my memoir – I’m a Fan: How I married U2 into my life without going to the altar.
I’m a Fan is dedicated to my mom, Edith Wharton and James Joyce scholar, Sharon Gabrielson Goodmann.
